Bradlo
Peak of Bradlo rock formation (600 metres) is an ideal destination for easy and undemanding walking trip in distance of 3 – 5 kilometres. We have started our walk from the village of Libina, just few kilometres away from Olomouc city. The walk starts at the bottom of a steep field, but soon enough the field changes to a nice forest path. After about 3 kilometres, first rocks can be seen. These are the Three Rocks and they are created from light and solid quartz rock, typical for this area. Initially the Three Rocks used to be single rock formation, but disintegration and erosion split the formation into three huge rocks.
Much bigger is the Bradlo rock formation approximately 1 kilometre away from the Three Rocks. The peak of Bradlo is easily accessible by the steps carved in the rock leading to the summit of Bradlo, offering an incredible view across the surroundings. On the North side you can see the Jesenik mountains with the peak of Kralicky Sneznik (1.424 metres).
Even though Bradlo is not the most popular walking destination, it still has a many years of tradition. By the end of 19th century, when the rock lookout platform has been made at the summit, annual number of people visiting Bradlo reached 20.000.

Sauce Recipes
Sauce – a liquid, sometimes semi-solid food served with other foods or used for their preparation. They are essential elements in many Sauce Recipes in cuisine all around the world as they add flavor and moister to the meals. Some of them may be bought in the shop while others are cooked just before serving.
Antonin Carême classified sauces in the 19th century into four groups.
* Allemande (based on white stock thickened with egg yolk)
* Béchamel (based on milk thickened with roux)
* Espagnole (based on brown stock thickened with roux)
* Velouté ( based on a white stock thickened with roux)
Most common sauces used in cuisine are derivatives of one of the above listed grand sauces. These grand sauces are usually not served as-is, instead additional ingredients are added to make derivative sauces.

Rhubarb Recipes
Rhubarb… you either like or hate it. Nothing between. There are various rhubarb recipes using this succulent stem in pies, desserts or raw in salads and smoothies.
Botanically speaking, rhubarb is considered a vegetable, but its most often treated as a fruit. Just like fresh cranberries, rhubarb is almost unbearably tart on its own and needs the sweetness of sugar, honey, or fruit juice added to balance out the acidity.
Rhubarb is a cool season, perennial crop and requires temperatures below 5 degree Centigrade to break dormancy. It is one of the first food plants to be ready for harvest, usually in mid to late spring. Considering the fact that both leaves and roots contain poisonous substances (oxalic acid) which are deadly poisonous, they should never be eaten.
Even though rhubarb may not be the most romantic looking edible on earth, but it’s a welcome sight in early spring, when everyone’s fancy turns to thoughts of pie.
Coconut Recipes
Coconut is the fruit of the coconut palm (Cocos Nucifera). The origin of coconut plant is unknown. Most claims the home of the coconut is South Asia, while others claim South America. Regardless of its origin, the coconut has spread across much of the tropics, probably aided in many cases by sea-faring peoples, and become very popular in cooking as part of coconut recipes. The fruit is light and buoyant and presumably spread significant distances by marine currents. Some coconuts have been collected from the sea as far as Norway.
The coconut palm thrives on sandy soils and is highly tolerant of salinity. For optimum growth, coconuts need high humidity and prefer warm areas with abundant sunlight and regular rainfall, like shorelines of the tropics.
Botanically, a coconut is a simple dry nut known as a fibrous drupe. It is not fruit. The shell of the coconut has three pores that are clearly visible on the outside surface of the shell. Adhering to the inside wall of the shell is “the coconut meat”, the white and fleshy edible part of the seed.
